using wsus update source nap clients. wsus server has 2 interfaces, 1 in production zone 1 in remediation zone. when nap client running in production zone can see communication between nap client , wsus's production interface (i tried telnet port 8530 success.) base on monitoring of nap clients fall remediation zone every 22hrs , after few minutes, didn't install patch. 22hrs looks default value "the number of hours since client synchronized update source". buen dia. escribo por el siguiente problema.  actualmente trabajamos con centos como cortafuego, el que tambien esta como file-server, pero hemos comprado un equipo con win 2008 r2 en el que configurado la ip publica con respectivos dns en la ethernet 1, y en la otra tarjeta configurado la ip interna. hi i have mapped unc path drive. , when i, , others access drive 2012 r2 server, closes down without notice, after couple of minutes. suspect these entries in event log has unexpected closes of mapped drive: the mapped unc path works fine 2012, 2008 r2, 2008 , 2003 servers. the server running on latest patch, , date. i have tried following  solution.  without luck. information event @ 09:49:09, required relog. it gpo problem. appears 2012 r2 can't handle same unc path assigned more once, through group policies. hi i have a scenario have an issuing ca has issued on 20,000 odd number of end user certificates. issuing ca is signed root 'a'. business requirement issuing ca signed root 'b', of course new cps my plan generate certificate request file using the existing key pair , dn information of issuing ca. signed by root 'b' not have re-issue 20,000 odd certificates. instead publish re-signed issuing ca across end user systems which the certificate chain able build upto root 'b'. note - root 'b' public ca hence trusted end user systems. i request know if approach feasible. in advance. cheers sanurajan. do need have issued certificates being under the rootb tree? isn't feasible scenario create new issuingca start issuing new certs new users/services without revoking existing one? if not, sure public rootb considered authority 20000 published certificates? don't think :-) ondrej. ...

here we're trying set up.  have new cisco ucs b200/b230 blades, blade centers, fi's.  have a pair of server 2012 scale-out fileservers on 2 of blades luns attached from our san uses hitachi ams 2500.  trying setup server 2012 hyper-v hosts, managed through vmm, use storage on scale-out fileservers on smb 3.  reason, terrible performance configuration.  example, deploying vm 50gb template takes 35 minutes going through sofs , shows throughput of around 250 mbps.  have tried following narrow down cause: 1.  took sofs out of equation , went directly san storage, , same deployment takes 8 min throughput of around 1.2 gbps. 2.  setup sofs on different hardware (ibm pizza box servers) direct attached storage, , able performance comparable saw going straight our san. we've had cisco engineers on our configuration , don't see problems.  we've had 1 person microsoft should getting better performance front-ending our san sofs are, ,...

or perhaps better question: is there reliable application-agnostic method of determining when detrimental memory paging occuring? so far using perfmon counter "% usage" under "paging file" performance object.  notice % usage high, though memory:"commited bytes" under physical ram amount. memory:"page reads/sec" appear healthy.  i'll see spike when application opened settle down zero. this not single fluke case, notice on variety of our servers.  wondering if normal or if memory upgrades in order. thanks, jaime the pagefile used when free ram available design. processes less activity paged away make room other memory claims. consider windows first using ram. in case ram full , new application started, windows should identify processes can paged away, read them ram, write them disk, read teh new program disk , load in freed ram. consumes lot of time disk read/write slow operation, , while user waiting program start. ...

hello all, i having issue few of users regarding mapped drives. have simple batch file logon script maps network drives need. these windows 7 enterprise machines. here happening. 1. user logs on , script runs. script states drives mapped successfully. 2. open explorer , 1 or more of drives not mapped. 3. user can either browse network drive, re-run script drive, or put path in explorer window or run box. 4. if user runs script re-map drive, user has drive day long. this not happen time. have checked user properties , user account not locked in ad. not see in event logs jumping out @ me. not want manually map drive due users moving machine machine @ times. thoughts? little help?? thank in advance , advice! how did delete profile? in later versions of windows begging problems deleting stuff in c:\users yourself, use gui or wmi. if in registry @ "hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\profilelist" see sid or sid .bak @ end? ...
