BPA still show erros on WIndows 2008 R2 dns + DC

hi all,

i've configure time server , dns scavening. however, bpa (servermanager) stills show error shows error saying time server not configured , dns scavening not configured.

any ideas?

configure authorative time server on pdc role holder server below kb article same.

make sure below parameters set correctly on pdc server.
1.change server type ntp
2.set announceflags 5
3.enable ntpserver
4.specify time sources.eg time.windows.com,0x1
5configure other paratmeters well.

restart windows time service.ran w32tm /resync /rediscover command.
check system event log event id 35 , 37 related time sync.

also point other dc in n/w to point pdc server time sync.
server type nt5ds
set ntpserver -->pdcservername,0x1 eg dc,0x1
set announceflags 10 by default 10
restart windows time service.ran w32tm /resync /rediscover command

ensure following on dc:
1. each dc / dns server points private ip address primary dns server , other remote/local dns servers secondary in tcp/ip properties.
2. each dc has 1 ip address , single network adapter enabled.
3. contact isp , valid dns ips them , add in forwarders, not set public dns server in tcp/ip setting of dc.
4. once done, run "ipconfig /flushdns & ipconfig /registerdns", restart dns , netlogon service each dc.
not put private dns ip addresses in forwarder list.

once done reboot server if possible.

in dns enable scaveging on zones.

ran bpa check warning or errors.

Can no longer user MS Update - Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered

hi, i'm new server 2003.  installed it.  removed enhanced ie security.  proceed download , install windows server 2003 sp1, of dot net (1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, , updates), , sp2. after downloaded , installed of above, tried windows update menu option in ie.  (ie 8 windows server 2003) , sits there "done" in lower left hand corner.  never brings in window. so try www.microsoft.com -> download , trails -> update.  received error message "files required use microsoft update no longer registered or installed on computer".  click on register or reinstall files me now.  window changes , "check latest version of windows updating software .... ".   sits there (last time sat there on hour). i went on internet , found instructions: regsvr32 wuapi.dll regsvr32 wups.dll regsvr32 wuaueng.dll regsvr32 wucltui.dll regsvr32 atl.dll regsvr32 msxml3.dll did not work either.  have other suggestions?...

How do a find data in one file, search for it in another file and if not found, write a custom message to another file
