GPO Policy for WSUS shows up on the GPO modeling but not in the GPO results

i have wsus desktop policy not being applied ou branch office. when @ gpo modeling results, shows policy being applied. however, when @ gpo results not being applied. on workstation, policy not being applied either.

from gpo modeling results, can see following 2 gpos applied:

 

wsus server policy

wsus desktop policy

 

for winning group policy settings, can see report details.

 

please clarify how configured wsus server policy , wsus desktop policy. need apply 2 policies @ same time? have enabled client-side targeting? please check on side. how did link gpos?

 

from gpo policy results, can see gpo “wsus server policy” applied, "wsus desktop policy" not showed under either applied or denied gpos. normally, situation can occur due following factors:

 

1. gpo not linked site, domain, or ou of computer or user member

2. replication

3. group policy refresh

4. network connectivity

 

please make sure gpo linked correctly , gp replication working fine. please run “gpupdate /force” on client check results.

Can no longer user MS Update - Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered

hi, i'm new server 2003.  installed it.  removed enhanced ie security.  proceed download , install windows server 2003 sp1, of dot net (1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, , updates), , sp2. after downloaded , installed of above, tried windows update menu option in ie.  (ie 8 windows server 2003) , sits there "done" in lower left hand corner.  never brings in window. so try www.microsoft.com -> download , trails -> update.  received error message "files required use microsoft update no longer registered or installed on computer".  click on register or reinstall files me now.  window changes , "check latest version of windows updating software .... ".   sits there (last time sat there on hour). i went on internet , found instructions: regsvr32 wuapi.dll regsvr32 wups.dll regsvr32 wuaueng.dll regsvr32 wucltui.dll regsvr32 atl.dll regsvr32 msxml3.dll did not work either.  have other suggestions?...

How do a find data in one file, search for it in another file and if not found, write a custom message to another file
