Updates detected after Office uninstall

may point way find error in wsus client ?

i had reinstall a computer weeks ago. while reinstalling it, placed computer domain, , later into useful wsus group.

aproximatelly in same time i uninstalled office xp pre-installed install 2003 usefull version. think detection of program active in same time uninstall...

the result : have still error computer wsus's server update of office xp sp3 ...

ok : made error, seems resetauthorization isn't usefull @ point.

are other points check correct ?

there number of scenarios in might happen.

it's detection office xp update completed before initiated uninstallation of office xp. it's possible uninstallation of office xp (which preinstalled) not complete, or corrupted. it's possible components of office xp installation still present on machine, , detection valid.

one thing office xp updates will fail installation unless installation media available. suggest attempt install update interactively (using wua user interface logged on admin account), office xp installation media loaded in cd/dvd drive.

as 'resetauthorization' -- parameter has absolutely nothing scenario, it's no surprise there saw no impact. '/resetauthorization' parameter wuauclt.exe utility designed expire cached targeting cookie in scenarios target group has been changed, or susclientid has been deleted/reset.

Can no longer user MS Update - Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered

hi, i'm new server 2003.  installed it.  removed enhanced ie security.  proceed download , install windows server 2003 sp1, of dot net (1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, , updates), , sp2. after downloaded , installed of above, tried windows update menu option in ie.  (ie 8 windows server 2003) , sits there "done" in lower left hand corner.  never brings in window. so try www.microsoft.com -> download , trails -> update.  received error message "files required use microsoft update no longer registered or installed on computer".  click on register or reinstall files me now.  window changes , "check latest version of windows updating software .... ".   sits there (last time sat there on hour). i went on internet , found instructions: regsvr32 wuapi.dll regsvr32 wups.dll regsvr32 wuaueng.dll regsvr32 wucltui.dll regsvr32 atl.dll regsvr32 msxml3.dll did not work either.  have other suggestions?...

How do a find data in one file, search for it in another file and if not found, write a custom message to another file
