The NetBIOS domain name is already being used

hi installing domain controller on windows server 2012 r2.  here have done.

  1. rename computer name "dcus" , reboot.
  2. install domain controller role.
  3. promote domain controller , during configuration have specified root domain name "mydomain.com".  when gets netbios screen automatically use name "mydomain".  because want keep netbios name same hostname, changed "dcus".

the problem happens when tried change netbios name "dcus".  after press next, see message "the netbios domain name being used".  can let me know why case?

following want achieve.

  1. users use login "mydomain\username".  if domain name registered icann hello.com, it'd "hello\username".
  2. primary domain controller sit in why hostname of pdc called "dcus".
  3. backup domain controller sit in asia can name other server's hostname "dcap".
  4. netbios name same hostname dc it'd "dcus", , asia dc it'd "dcap".

any idea if achievable , how can prevent error showing?

hi realized wizard asking netbios name domain, rather netbios name host.

Can no longer user MS Update - Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered

hi, i'm new server 2003.  installed it.  removed enhanced ie security.  proceed download , install windows server 2003 sp1, of dot net (1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, , updates), , sp2. after downloaded , installed of above, tried windows update menu option in ie.  (ie 8 windows server 2003) , sits there "done" in lower left hand corner.  never brings in window. so try www.microsoft.com -> download , trails -> update.  received error message "files required use microsoft update no longer registered or installed on computer".  click on register or reinstall files me now.  window changes , "check latest version of windows updating software .... ".   sits there (last time sat there on hour). i went on internet , found instructions: regsvr32 wuapi.dll regsvr32 wups.dll regsvr32 wuaueng.dll regsvr32 wucltui.dll regsvr32 atl.dll regsvr32 msxml3.dll did not work either.  have other suggestions?...

How do a find data in one file, search for it in another file and if not found, write a custom message to another file
