Need help in setting up Internal Virtual Network


i have set up a machine windows server 2008 r2 , installed hyper-v role.   have tried set internal virtual network host server , virtual machines can communicate not working far.

the network adapters section of device manager has these:

  • 802.11n wireless pci express card lan adapter
  • intel 82567v-2 gigabit network connection
  • local area connection - virtual network
  • internal virtual network

the virtual network manager has 2 virtual networks:

  • local area connection - virtual network

          connection type - external (intel 82567v-2 gigabit network connection), checked allow management operating system share network adapter

  • internal virtual network

          connection type - internal only

the network adapter settings virtual machine installed windows xp pro sp2 has these:

  • network: internal virtual network
  • mac address: dynamic

the network , sharing center has these:

unidentified network:

  • access type: no network access
  • connections: local area connection 3
  •                     local area connection 4

local area connection 3 using local area connection - virtual network.

local area connection 4 using internal virtual network.

please make sure vms , internal nic on host in same subnet of ips
