hi all, we have 64 bit application. our application used customers taking backup of data of production information. since data backup utility, involves lot of io transaction huge data. we faced an issue where the application got crashed in windows 2003 64 bit machine when tried backup 60 gb of data. after processing 18 gb of data crashed witht error saying" system error: writefile: insufficient system resources exist complete requested service. error code: 3221255523". the system has 60 gb of physical ram the hypothesis belief that, in 64 bit machine system cache can grow unlimited size , @ 1 point there may chances starve memory , failing above error. suggestion found across net use utility set system cache limit never grows unlimitedly , starts clean cache content when reaches limit.  by this,  we have set syatem cache " maxsystemcachembytes" to 15% of physical momory , other options  " minsystemcach...

hello , in advance trying help.  going start giving general overview of problem , detail steps have taken , errors encountered identify issue. when selecting windows update start menu, able query update service , see updates waiting installed (kb2508979 [junk email filter], anti-spam v. 3.3.9921.496, , sp1).  select 2 important updates , not sp1 , choose install.  after 1 minute dialog box appears stating: "you logged off - windows has encountered critical problem , restart automatically in 1 minute.  please save work now."   server commences rebooting , every time try install these updates.  @ standstill installing windows updates on machine of now, have done amount of troubleshooting , have lot more additional info going on below. my first hunch windows installer service, after server rebooted went services, , selected start windows installer service (which set manual), , got same "you logged off...reboot" error got wh...

i in process of cross forest dc migration environment of 400 users, first have configured gpo add dns suffix search domains current clients of old domain upon applying policy rpc server unavailable or rpc cancelled or access denied sometimes. i have checked domains (4) health , replication , looks well.  i connected 1 of clients has issue make sure these clients joined domain , using proper dns list. checked if domain has correct hostname appears in domain , looked fine. i disabled kaspersky firewall on client , disabled windows firewall client still same issue occur . when trying connect of these clients hostname browse c$ folder gives error, tried fqdn , had same problem ip connects fine. i checked rpc service, computer browser service see if running , running.  i attaching screenshots of gpo policy , error appears when trying browse client folder c$ hostname or fqdn.  i have tried following didn't fix anything.. hope point me out right...
