Remote Computer could not be found?

i have setup web access remoteapp server on server 2008 r2 , no longer letting connect apps or use remote desktop outside.  if try run apps or try rdp web access site tries launch "the remote computer not found" error.  working earlier today, able launch applications home gives me error.

setup follows:  ts roles installed on tsserver except virtualization host since not hyper-v server.  consoles show no issues, have pointing tsserver.  have external site setup (remote.domain.com) , working.  can site fine, apps populate fine , overall there no issues there.  if go remoteapp server internally can launch applications , rdp without problem.  it's externally they're not working.

i admit i'm new these new ts roles , started setting up.  can't figure out why working earlier today , not.  changes made redirect iis (so users have type in remote.domain.com instead of https://remote.domain.com/rdweb) , installed new application (though co-worker said started getting error before installed program).

what should looking @ resolve this?  fact works internally , can site externally makes me think it's small setting i'm missing.  many different management consoles through it's little difficult pinpoint what's wrong. 

ok, got it.  rd gateway server setting.  thought needed fqdn of server.  changed external dns name (remote.domain.com) , it's working.

thanks guys!  i'm sure of these different rds roles great larger farms, man bit confusing small deployment.

 

btw, settings share credentials between rd gateway , rd server?  want turn on because we're getting prompted credential multiple times during web access.

Can no longer user MS Update - Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered

hi, i'm new server 2003.  installed it.  removed enhanced ie security.  proceed download , install windows server 2003 sp1, of dot net (1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, , updates), , sp2. after downloaded , installed of above, tried windows update menu option in ie.  (ie 8 windows server 2003) , sits there "done" in lower left hand corner.  never brings in window. so try www.microsoft.com -> download , trails -> update.  received error message "files required use microsoft update no longer registered or installed on computer".  click on register or reinstall files me now.  window changes , "check latest version of windows updating software .... ".   sits there (last time sat there on hour). i went on internet , found instructions: regsvr32 wuapi.dll regsvr32 wups.dll regsvr32 wuaueng.dll regsvr32 wucltui.dll regsvr32 atl.dll regsvr32 msxml3.dll did not work either.  have other suggestions?...

How do a find data in one file, search for it in another file and if not found, write a custom message to another file
