Windows Update keeps wanting to Re-Install the same NET updates over and over..

hello,

i hope asking question in correct area.

last night windows update informed me there 3 net updates, , i let download , install them all.. , there seemed be no problems.

they were  kb2518864, kb2572073, , kb2633880.

however few minutes after told installed successfully, windows update pops on again, listing same 3 updates.

no matter how many times let computer install them, says need installed few minutes later.

what should do?

the updater not try re-download of files, install them again , again.

what should do?

should un-install them , let windows update try again, go before installed them using system restore, or should 3 updates , "manually" install them myself, or what?

i have never had happen before.

hello again, , thank answered.

i think fixed "problem" or @ least appeared have worked me.

while looking around microsoft's web site ran across troubleshooter program microsoft called "microsoftfixit".

i think microsoft fix trouble shooter can found @ follow page:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/910339

i downloaded program , ran it.. , found , seems have corrected "errors" occured windows update.

once microsoftfixit troubleshooter program corrected these "errors" able go microsoft update page , attempt download , install 3 updates giving me problems.

after doing things seem fine.

i hope information can else here!

it worked me, or @ least seems have!

Can no longer user MS Update - Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered

hi, i'm new server 2003.  installed it.  removed enhanced ie security.  proceed download , install windows server 2003 sp1, of dot net (1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, , updates), , sp2. after downloaded , installed of above, tried windows update menu option in ie.  (ie 8 windows server 2003) , sits there "done" in lower left hand corner.  never brings in window. so try www.microsoft.com -> download , trails -> update.  received error message "files required use microsoft update no longer registered or installed on computer".  click on register or reinstall files me now.  window changes , "check latest version of windows updating software .... ".   sits there (last time sat there on hour). i went on internet , found instructions: regsvr32 wuapi.dll regsvr32 wups.dll regsvr32 wuaueng.dll regsvr32 wucltui.dll regsvr32 atl.dll regsvr32 msxml3.dll did not work either.  have other suggestions?...

How do a find data in one file, search for it in another file and if not found, write a custom message to another file
