hi i had feb cpt installed , connecting server using vista, , glass interface working fine (remote desktop) i installed beta 3 , glass interface not working anymore. i did possible configuration changes , nothing happened cannot work. is bug in beta 3? we still determining extent of aero glass support release.   have enabled themes service , installed desktop experience pack  - should able @ least basic aero work (not glass). i have srvr08 host server hyper-v 4 network adapters. 1 host management , has static ip address netbios , dns registration enabled in tcp/ip properties. don't run ip ver 6 on our network. other 3 network adapters dhcp-enabled , used vm's.these questions: 1) can safely unbind ip ver 6 adapters? 2) should file sharing , network discovery disabled on host server? 3) should disable netbios , dns registration on host server dhcp adapters? when create external virtual network , bind nic 2, 3, , 4 given replacement virtual nic. this situation: we replaced our windows server 2003 boxes server 2008 64 bit @ of our school locations. since school has started in august our xp clients, @ random times unable access shares 2008 servers. in order clients regain access shares, have restart 2008 server. not same server. servers have never had problems, while have problems daily, while others occasionally.   symptoms: xp clients cannot access shares on 2008 servers. vista clients (which have 13) , 2008 server can run shares , access shares. after failure , before restart can remote 2008 servers. can ping 2008 servers name , ip client. see nothing in event logs pointing failures system.   our setup: we have 4 dc/dns servers. 2 2003 , 2 2008. 1 of dc/dns server’s 1 needs restarting. have around 50 servers total, 13 of them being server 2008. others 2003. of 2008 servers identical hardware, operating system, service packs , services.   things have tried on 2008 servers: removed symantec end point 11. r...

i have 2-node cluster - server 2012r2 - 2 teams of 2 nics each , 2 additional nics used mpio san.  one team used virtual machines only.  the other cluster communications.  the cluster communications team has 3 interfaces configured different vlans.  cluster communication , live migration vlans non-routable.  the management vlan routable; connects dns, etc. with no smb shares connected/defined system still shows smb multichannel connections using link-local addresses (for cluster communications?).  it correctly sets connections between client , server on non-routable links.  for routable network sets 'selected' false 1 sets other true; 100.104 network can't 101.97 or .98 networks. i think setup client/server connection on 104 network doesn't.  the smbclient , smbserver configurations defaults. here smb client , server network interfaces both nodes: these errors related (i think) (or separate issue): the same error occ...
