Replication traffic performance counters

i work large organization has single user domain , dozens of sites, each site varying amount of bandwidth.  i attempting determine total amount of intersite replication traffic @ given site.  the site selected has 5 dc/gc’s.   looking @ ntds settings 3 of servers pulling other sites.    i’ve set performance log pulling multiple counters 3 servers.  one of counters

dra inbound bytes compressed (between sites, after compression)/sec

 and have 2 questions

1. can assume 3 servers pulling remote sites are bridgeheads different partitions , total traffic sum of counter on each of 3 dc’s?

2.does counter reflect amount of inbound bytes @ time counter recorded,  i.e. instantaneous value, or type of running average on period of time?

hi,

to answer questions:

  1. yes, it’s should total traffic of dcs.
  2. i think it’s instantaneous value.

“dra inbound bytes compressed (between sites, after compression)/sec” shows compressed size of inbound compressed replication data (size after compression, dsas in other sites).
