2008R2 PrintService log, Event 805, number of copies incorrect for print jobs from Word 2010, Excel 2010, Visio 2010

hi all,

like tim miller in post linked below, i'm trying track printer usage through event 307 in printservice log 2008r2 print server. post found event 805 (which occurrs before 307) has field number of copies, first problem solved. when started analyzing event 805s in log, found 14 out of more 8000 (9 days worth, log size set @ 20mb) showed more 1 copy. since extremely unlikely k-12 school district teachers regularly print multiple copies students, tested further , found that in office 2010, word, excel, , visio show 1 copy in 805 event, though 2 copies requested , 2 copies printed. powerpoint, publisher, infopath, onenote, , outlook behaved correctly , showed multiple copies in 805 event. has else seen this, or know of workaround? problem 3 programs, or how 2008r2 takes data?

Can no longer user MS Update - Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered

hi, i'm new server 2003.  installed it.  removed enhanced ie security.  proceed download , install windows server 2003 sp1, of dot net (1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, , updates), , sp2. after downloaded , installed of above, tried windows update menu option in ie.  (ie 8 windows server 2003) , sits there "done" in lower left hand corner.  never brings in window. so try www.microsoft.com -> download , trails -> update.  received error message "files required use microsoft update no longer registered or installed on computer".  click on register or reinstall files me now.  window changes , "check latest version of windows updating software .... ".   sits there (last time sat there on hour). i went on internet , found instructions: regsvr32 wuapi.dll regsvr32 wups.dll regsvr32 wuaueng.dll regsvr32 wucltui.dll regsvr32 atl.dll regsvr32 msxml3.dll did not work either.  have other suggestions?...

CDPUserSvc_xxxxx has stopped working
