i quoting latest case details.  today in morning had installed windows 2003 server on 1 of server machines.  after installing had gone microsoft update services , downloaded latest updates.  in process of setting forefront client security server.  afterwards, had installed sql server 2005 std. edition , thereafter, since forefront suite required sql server 2005 service pack2, had downloaded service pack microsoft download centre.  seemed fine.  however, when in middle of setting wsus 3.0, @ stage when asked synchronization microsoft update website, when clicked start, got http error message , when tried open microsoft.com in seperate browser window, not able so.  have realip address , internal ip address both, had used both site not opening.  moreover, when trying ping microsoft.com command window used open , imediately got closed.  latest case.  working in university there many machines on internet working fine microsoft.com not...
