WSUS 3.0 Not Working on Server 2008R2
i trying install wsus role on server 2008 r2 box. member server of domain. runs through installation fine (it seems), , @ end, pops error message says "an unexpected error occurred, , wizard must closed. may restart wsus server configuration wizard options page in wsus 3.0 console." when try go wsus server manager console, says "error: unexpected error." restarting server node nothing. there several errors in event logs saying "the <service> not working." there state have pasted below. i've tried accessing console different computers no luck. downloaded latest version microsoft's wsus site , tried installing it. same problem. there application installed on server, needs use port 80, wsus being configured use port 8530.
i've read through other posts regarding similar issues, nothing seems quite same issue have. ideas appreciated.
the wsus administration console has encountered unexpected error. may transient error; try restarting administration console. if error persists,
try removing persisted preferences console deleting wsus file under %appdata%\microsoft\mmc\.
system.invalidoperationexception -- client found response content type of 'text/html; charset=utf-8', expected 'text/xml'.
