RD Licensing

i have client on windows server 2012 r2 remote desktop connection broker, remote desktop licensing, remote desktop session host , remote desktop services.  when setup host , installed rds features licensing 120 days under windows 2000 server - built in ts per device cal.  have acquired , installed 10 rds user cals , purchased server cals.  when rdp host thought start issuing user cals licensing manager shows 0 issued.  process remove/disable windows 2000 licenses , start using purchased cals?  set gpo set licensing server , user cal.  have planned reboot patches weekend.  maybe reboot that's needed?  thx

okay, if no domain per user rds cals not issued.  make sure have configured licensing mode per user , specified rd licensing server name via group policy in gpedit.msc.

an alternative make server dc, create rds deployment using wizard in server manager, set deployment properties, create collection, etc., mentioned above.

please note without rds deployment make things more difficult configure/administer.  need use group policy settings, command line tools, registry edits, wmi commands, etc.  if need allow small number of people connect , full desktop may not matter.  if want use full set of rds features such remoteapps, rdweb access, remote resources, remoteapp , desktop connections, etc., having rds deployment needed.

Can no longer user MS Update - Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered

hi, i'm new server 2003.  installed it.  removed enhanced ie security.  proceed download , install windows server 2003 sp1, of dot net (1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, , updates), , sp2. after downloaded , installed of above, tried windows update menu option in ie.  (ie 8 windows server 2003) , sits there "done" in lower left hand corner.  never brings in window. so try www.microsoft.com -> download , trails -> update.  received error message "files required use microsoft update no longer registered or installed on computer".  click on register or reinstall files me now.  window changes , "check latest version of windows updating software .... ".   sits there (last time sat there on hour). i went on internet , found instructions: regsvr32 wuapi.dll regsvr32 wups.dll regsvr32 wuaueng.dll regsvr32 wucltui.dll regsvr32 atl.dll regsvr32 msxml3.dll did not work either.  have other suggestions?...

How do a find data in one file, search for it in another file and if not found, write a custom message to another file
