VDI desktops - location of user computer

i'm fighting problems created number of sites switching vdi desktops. our ssystem uses physical machine location identify announcements make , direct callers in office. counters , desks @ drop in service centres. vdi machine number returned not have idea it's user located, there no way of identifying @ physical device user logged in, @ least select correct cctv camera identify user when suspicious activity detected. in our case panic alarm can actioned without local user logged in knows machines identity.

hi,

please explain configuration little more.  example, have pcs @ these drop in service centers using remote desktop connect vdi vms in datacenter, or different?

from within session can retrieve name of client device used connect.  clientname environment variable automatically set name, however, depending on exact needs may need retrieve name using rds api best results.

please note depending on operating system, rdp client software, etc., name reported client may not helpful.  windows clients running microsoft's client report name of machine.

thanks.
