Essentials Server 2012 r2 connector software problem with w10 pro (upgraded from w10 home) laptop

hi folks,

i not sure if right one, have strange problem connector software of essentials server 2012 r2. newest update installed, lastest connector software 11/2015.

yesterday, replaced laptop new one. laptop came windows 10 home key in bios. clean install lead newly installed w10 home edition. way select something. provided 10 pro key , upgraded windows 10 pro. no problems far ...

now, i tried connect essentials server again. went smooth point select if wanted computer accessible me or else. regardless choice took got connector software breakdown. in events found "lookupaccountsid" call exception. tried manually accomplish task. got necessary services running. tray app closes after start without errors. server detects new laptop , gets health messages. services running.

any suggestions ?

officially, oem edition product key banding hardware, not supported changed. recommend contact computer manufacturer confirm this.

want confirm if ”tray” mentioned launchpad on client side.

if so, on client side, manually locate c:\windows\system32\essentials, right click launchpad.exe , run admin check result.

also, make sure both server , client have recent windows update rollup installed.

Can no longer user MS Update - Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered

hi, i'm new server 2003.  installed it.  removed enhanced ie security.  proceed download , install windows server 2003 sp1, of dot net (1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, , updates), , sp2. after downloaded , installed of above, tried windows update menu option in ie.  (ie 8 windows server 2003) , sits there "done" in lower left hand corner.  never brings in window. so try www.microsoft.com -> download , trails -> update.  received error message "files required use microsoft update no longer registered or installed on computer".  click on register or reinstall files me now.  window changes , "check latest version of windows updating software .... ".   sits there (last time sat there on hour). i went on internet , found instructions: regsvr32 wuapi.dll regsvr32 wups.dll regsvr32 wuaueng.dll regsvr32 wucltui.dll regsvr32 atl.dll regsvr32 msxml3.dll did not work either.  have other suggestions?...

How do a find data in one file, search for it in another file and if not found, write a custom message to another file
