RIP source address of RRAS
i have ws 2008r2 rras server running both nat , rip. sometimes, rip peer not receive response @ all.
capturing packets showed rras server sent packet using (incorrectly) ip of public interface of nat through correct private interface. these 2 separated interfaces, not understand how possible.
also, seems happen if neighbor list used instead of broadcast/multi-cat. if enabled broadcasting neighbor list, correct source ip chosen both kinds of packets.
hi,
check route table, entries in route table direct packets.
and doesn’t impact broadcast.
