Does Window Server 2012 Standard supports media streaming and sharing to Xbox 360

hi,

i'm trying setup home/office server. i'm using windows server 2012 standard. chose server edition becouse need hyper-v role. server needs share media files xbox 360.

i know windows server 2012 esentials have option "stream media" standard edition not support.

can first tell me if possible share media xbox server , if possible explain how it.

here until now:

1. enabled "desktop expiriance" feature

2. enabled "media foundation" feature

3. installed directx (not sure if necesery)

4. enabled "function descovery host" service

5. enabled "ssdp descovery" service

6. enabled "upnp device host" service

7. enabled "network discovery" profiles

i don't have ideas more. xbox not seeing server @ all. (they on same network)

also hyper-v role installed. don't think should make difference.

paul thurrott's discussion on on server 2012 essentials says can "in-place upgrade" essentials server 2012 standard , best of both servers media piece , client backups essentials with hyper-v features standard.

  • simplified moving past 25 users/50 devices. 1 of major pieces of feedback sbs 2011 essentials once customer had grown beyond 25 user limit had migrate windows server standard. after migration, key sbs-specific features had come depend on (e.g., client backup, remote web access), no longer available.      
  • we wanted address issue in essentials 2012 , allow customers in-place license transition windows server 2012 standard. after transition, customers running windows server 2012 standard without of licensing limitations of essentials 2012, majority of essentials 2012 functionality continues operate , supported 75 users , 75 devices. (note while there no restrictions placed on number of users/devices can added windows server 2012 standard environment, there maximum supportability limits essentials 2012 features.)

Can no longer user MS Update - Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered

hi, i'm new server 2003.  installed it.  removed enhanced ie security.  proceed download , install windows server 2003 sp1, of dot net (1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, , updates), , sp2. after downloaded , installed of above, tried windows update menu option in ie.  (ie 8 windows server 2003) , sits there "done" in lower left hand corner.  never brings in window. so try www.microsoft.com -> download , trails -> update.  received error message "files required use microsoft update no longer registered or installed on computer".  click on register or reinstall files me now.  window changes , "check latest version of windows updating software .... ".   sits there (last time sat there on hour). i went on internet , found instructions: regsvr32 wuapi.dll regsvr32 wups.dll regsvr32 wuaueng.dll regsvr32 wucltui.dll regsvr32 atl.dll regsvr32 msxml3.dll did not work either.  have other suggestions?...

How do a find data in one file, search for it in another file and if not found, write a custom message to another file
