no, need re-install sql. when sql installs, needs know whether or not running in cluster. standalone installation has absolutely no idea there might instance things fail on to. installation processes different in order information set properly.
suggestion - ditch old 2003/2005 stuff , upgrade more stable , robust configurations. might not able find pieces of hardware necessary create supportable windows server 2003 cluster. remember in order have supported cluster windows server 2003, entire configuration - server, storage, , hbas - had qualified together. microsoft stopped accepting submissions new 2003 clusters 4 years ago. , of newer hardware being certified on 2008 prior because microsoft changed way hardware qualified. therefore, unless have access old hardware know certified microsoft 5-6 years ago, stepping out of supported environment.
besides, 2003 has less 2 years of extended support left. means if cobble old hardware supported configuration, supported few months. that, , fact better power utilization, reliability, and performance newer hardware should offset cost might have incur latest. , software standpoint, windows server 2012 , sql server 2012 more reliable, too.
