Installing Nano Server

hi,

to understand installing nano server, have gone through many web links on google search.

at end, got confused.

please clarify:

  1. what prerequisite installing nano server?
  2. can installed through powershell?
  3. can installed on hyper-v , on vhd?
  4. if can installed on hyper-v , vhd, can installed on windows 10 (after enabling hyper-v , creating vhd)?
  5. and please let me know, how install nano (step-by-step)?

this quick configuration:

new-nanoserverimage -edition standard -deploymenttype guest -mediapath <path root of media> -basepath .\base -targetpath .\nanoservervm\nanoservervm.vhd -computername <computer name>

or, can use nano image builder:

and supports 64-bit applications, tools, , agents

Can no longer user MS Update - Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered

hi, i'm new server 2003.  installed it.  removed enhanced ie security.  proceed download , install windows server 2003 sp1, of dot net (1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, , updates), , sp2. after downloaded , installed of above, tried windows update menu option in ie.  (ie 8 windows server 2003) , sits there "done" in lower left hand corner.  never brings in window. so try www.microsoft.com -> download , trails -> update.  received error message "files required use microsoft update no longer registered or installed on computer".  click on register or reinstall files me now.  window changes , "check latest version of windows updating software .... ".   sits there (last time sat there on hour). i went on internet , found instructions: regsvr32 wuapi.dll regsvr32 wups.dll regsvr32 wuaueng.dll regsvr32 wucltui.dll regsvr32 atl.dll regsvr32 msxml3.dll did not work either.  have other suggestions?...

How do a find data in one file, search for it in another file and if not found, write a custom message to another file
