Define New List Style ?

i have used multilevel list tool have clicked define new list style create new list style. have created style when click style launcher display styles pane cannot see way of viewing style. why can't view style in pane?

as far can see, way of viewing style click manage styles button @ foot of styles pane. in manage styles dialog box can click change sort order alphabetical , see style.

also, when click on list in document , click style inspector displays style called list paragraph. why doesn't style inspector display name of style?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

list styles (as table styles) never show in styles pane. however, can see list styles in apply styles pane (ctrl+shift+s) or @ home tab | multilevel list.

 

more importantly, if associate each numbering level of list style paragraph style (as suggested shauna kelly in article), don't have apply a list style, ever. apply appropriate paragraph style text. list style needed when want modify number formatting. , can done via apply styles pane: type in name of list style , click modify.
