C: or System drive auditing access denied

i trying setup auditing on entire c: drive system , boot drive.  doing adhere dod's stig settings.  these rules dod wants see on system.

this rule requires drives have auditing of entired drive enabled "everyone" , "failed"

the old systems setup 2003 , setting no problem enable.  have windows 2008 r2 , when try c: drive (other local , san drives work fine) @ least hundred popups of different files denied access on.  gets end , denied c:\ , can cancel.

i using dod's windows 2008 r2 build has great deal of security setting in place.  hoping can point me in right direction on local security setting keep me enabling auditing on c: drive.  far have found nothing.

i have found issue.  it in 1 of last places have thought look.  we must use mcafee according dod.  i doubted hips since logs clean sake of being thorough i removed mcafee hips , vse test server.  sure enough can add audit setting.  after more testing have narrowed down mcafee virusscan enterprise.  now need find setting within vse.  thanks ideas.

Can no longer user MS Update - Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered

hi, i'm new server 2003.  installed it.  removed enhanced ie security.  proceed download , install windows server 2003 sp1, of dot net (1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, , updates), , sp2. after downloaded , installed of above, tried windows update menu option in ie.  (ie 8 windows server 2003) , sits there "done" in lower left hand corner.  never brings in window. so try www.microsoft.com -> download , trails -> update.  received error message "files required use microsoft update no longer registered or installed on computer".  click on register or reinstall files me now.  window changes , "check latest version of windows updating software .... ".   sits there (last time sat there on hour). i went on internet , found instructions: regsvr32 wuapi.dll regsvr32 wups.dll regsvr32 wuaueng.dll regsvr32 wucltui.dll regsvr32 atl.dll regsvr32 msxml3.dll did not work either.  have other suggestions?...

How do a find data in one file, search for it in another file and if not found, write a custom message to another file
