Windows internal database RDCms in Recovery Pending

i fixing problem ms rds created 2 null pool in internal database therefore rds cannot refresh / display in the server manager anymore although the web access the incorrect pools were not displayed

this working , null pools deleted completely; rds able refresh , display in server manager

however -- after reboot server -- should close database opened in sql server management studio first -- remote desktop management service cannot start anymore; dig , find rdcms internal database in state = recovery pending

i not familiar internal database -- and the meaning behind "recovery pending" -- recover later or stay in state forever?

please let me know if there fix or have reinstall rds role tomorrow try..

for else runs this:

* install sql management studio on same machine

* run sql management studio administrator (by right-clicking , running administrator though administrator because microsoft brain-dead)

* nagivate database , see in recovery mode

* try right-clicking , taking offline

* try right-clicking , bringing online

this happened me wsus database no apparent reason.  uninstalling wsus role wouldn't fix problem because apparently uninstalling wsus role doesn't uninstall wsus role--once again microsoft brain-dead.

downloading 300mb+ 'management studio' fix stuff ridiculous.

Can no longer user MS Update - Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered

hi, i'm new server 2003.  installed it.  removed enhanced ie security.  proceed download , install windows server 2003 sp1, of dot net (1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, , updates), , sp2. after downloaded , installed of above, tried windows update menu option in ie.  (ie 8 windows server 2003) , sits there "done" in lower left hand corner.  never brings in window. so try www.microsoft.com -> download , trails -> update.  received error message "files required use microsoft update no longer registered or installed on computer".  click on register or reinstall files me now.  window changes , "check latest version of windows updating software .... ".   sits there (last time sat there on hour). i went on internet , found instructions: regsvr32 wuapi.dll regsvr32 wups.dll regsvr32 wuaueng.dll regsvr32 wucltui.dll regsvr32 atl.dll regsvr32 msxml3.dll did not work either.  have other suggestions?...

How do a find data in one file, search for it in another file and if not found, write a custom message to another file
