Footnotes in a doc


used office 2007/32-bit no problems with big files , (very) lot of footnotes.

use 2010/64-bit now: converted these files word 2010-format: footnotes past number (about) 32000 lost! in 2010 version there seems limit of handling footnotes.

why limitation?

why older office-version handle lot of footnotes better newer 64-bit version?

what should do?

(ok, never convert file newer word-format! realise simple solution. remains question: why shouldn't , when shouldn't convert files newer version of word-format? never mind in case why wants more 32000 footnotes in single file)

word 2010 , word 2007 use same document format, files compatible.

when hava unapproved revisions in document, cross-reference list doesn't update. have approve changes before you're allowed see footnotes in footnotes list.
