Server 2012 can't install 14 updates... Since January!!!

i did fresh install of windows server 2012 on intel 64 bit computer... a real one, not virtual.   i've done reinstall formatted disk 3 times far.  in january posted message couldn't install 2 updates.  number has climbed 14!   takes on hour boot because each update tries install, fails, reverts files , next update starts , same thing.

i've ran find in forum.  cleared c:\windows\softwaredistribution directory , ran windows update.  same updates came down , failed installation.  cleared c:\windows\softwaredistribution directory once again , ran dism commands (dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth , dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth) administrator.  first reported no errors , second command said system repaired.  ran windows update again , same updates selected , failed installation.

i've tried dcomcnfg thing, setting default authentication , impersonation levels , ran 'windowsupdate.diagcab'(http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/c/9/6c970550-32ab-4235-9cdd-7fc9dd848bbb/windowsupdate.diagcab ton of times.

server 2012... i'm @ loss words.  @ microsoft know going on here?

sorry inconvenience. so, failed updates listed above? assume other updates have been installed successfully? furthermore, sure clean install of server 2012 there no third-party applications antivirus , firewall software?


suggest test install updates manually. example, cumulative security update internet explorer 10 windows server 2012 (kb2817183), download standalone .msu file here , install administrator

if attempt still fails, let know error , post windowsupdate.log, resides in directory c:\windows. no need post entire log latest part of it.

Can no longer user MS Update - Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered

hi, i'm new server 2003.  installed it.  removed enhanced ie security.  proceed download , install windows server 2003 sp1, of dot net (1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, , updates), , sp2. after downloaded , installed of above, tried windows update menu option in ie.  (ie 8 windows server 2003) , sits there "done" in lower left hand corner.  never brings in window. so try www.microsoft.com -> download , trails -> update.  received error message "files required use microsoft update no longer registered or installed on computer".  click on register or reinstall files me now.  window changes , "check latest version of windows updating software .... ".   sits there (last time sat there on hour). i went on internet , found instructions: regsvr32 wuapi.dll regsvr32 wups.dll regsvr32 wuaueng.dll regsvr32 wucltui.dll regsvr32 atl.dll regsvr32 msxml3.dll did not work either.  have other suggestions?...

How do a find data in one file, search for it in another file and if not found, write a custom message to another file
