DHCP Split-Scope Configuration with servers in separate forests
we have 2 separate forests trust on our network. systems in both forests receive dhcp addresses server in domain 1.
it t possible setup dhcp split-scope using server in domain 2? not have server available in domain 1 use.

in general, dhcp not take care domains or forests.
not sure os version of dhcp server, if use windows server 2008 r2, may use dhcp split-scope configuration wizard deploy this. reference link:

few notes:
1. dhcp servers can communicate each other directly, or through ip routing.
2. dhcp servers can communicate dhcp clients either directly or using dhcp relay.
