Use of Active Directory as a Centralized Authentication Solution

hello

we telecom organization. have 2 different active directory setup. 1 our internal staffs , our third party vendors , outsourced teams. have used active directory authentication layer many of our enterprise , business applications such jira/osd etc.

now have requirement of using our active directory services centralized authentication solution core telecom systems. our systems deployed in various windows , unix based operating systems.

can kindly provide insights how can proceed this, initial steps,architecture design , roadmap achieve this.

before start "technical conversation" need understand , document requirements business , technical perspective. have already? these unix based application can support ad authentication? aloes ldap auth? looking microsoft solution? or opened third party product well?

is ad - unix integration option? microsoft identity management unix suitable solution applications?
