Seperate forests using trusts. Sharing folders

i have 2 win2003 forests trusts setup between them. in domain a, forest a, i can access shared folder \\servername\share on domain b, forest b, using xp computer on domain a. however, none of win2003 servers on domain can connect shared folder. when try \\servername\share give dialog box saying windows cannot find \\servername\share. have wins entry on domain servers.

when try \\servername.domain.com\share brings login prompt can access folder putting in domainb\username.

thanks in advance,

myron

do have two-way trust?

>> windows cannot findnetbios name resolution issue.  make sure  are using correct wins/dns server on workstation.

>> when try \\servername.domain.com\share brings - that means fqdn name resolution working.  if can’t access share using user account, check folder , share permission settings.
