Live Migration failing between nodes on 2012 R2 cluster (0x8007274C)
hi all,
i've got 3 node hyper v cluster running server 2012 r2 , live migration failing between 2 of nodes. live migrations work , forth node 2 other nodes fine. live migrations node 3 work other nodes, node 1 can live migrate node 2 fails when migrating node 3 , gets following error:
log name: system
event id: 21502
live migration of 'virtual machine xxxx' failed.

the virtual machine management service failed establish connection virtual machine migration host 'node 3': connection attempt failed because connected party did not respond after period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed respond. (0x8007274c).
the virtual machine management service failed authenticate connection virtual machine migration @ source host: connection attempt failed because connected party did not respond after period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed respond. (0x8007274c).
failed send data virtual machine migration: connection attempt failed because connected party did not respond after period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed respond. (0x8007274c).
looking around @ other support articles on looks error code (0x8007274c) points virtual machine manager service not listening on port 6600 have confirmed listening on nodes running netstat -ano | findstr 6600 , live migration work on nodes (just not 1 way between these two). quick migration works fine node 1 node 3.
all nodes running exact same hardware following nic configuration:
broadcom bcm57800 netxtreme 11 10 gige cards.
dual 10gbe ports teamed (traffic untagged @ switch)
2 vethernet adapters configured on teamed nic, 1 management , 1 solely migrations, each on different subnets.
obviously tricky 1 troubleshoot if can give me tips or tools can use further troubleshoot appreciated.
cheers
thanks help.
this resolved updating firmware , drivers on broadcom bcm57800 10gb nics.
cheers
