Server 2016 (RDP) CAL needs

hello everybody,

i'm hoping confirmation on user (rds) cal needs. i've read several topics on site , several license documents regarding server 2016. have knowledge of configuring server 2012 , basic networking, i'm not invested in stuff on day day basis.

a friend of mine fed sbs-2008 (single cpu quad xeon) , wants upgrade. owns own business , has 1 other employee (who connects via rdp on own account). @ point approaching pension , has dedicated himself customer relations , advising sole employee. therefore uses admin account (sometimes via rdp) right oversee server management.

am right in saying needs server 2016 standard 8-core version 1 user cal + 1 rds cal employee, , covered "service" status of admin , therefore doesn't need user/rds cal?

default windows allows 2 concurrent admin remote desktop connections. windows server 2016 licensing, core based. base sku covers 16 cores. can buy additional 2 core packs if needed.

Can no longer user MS Update - Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered

hi, i'm new server 2003.  installed it.  removed enhanced ie security.  proceed download , install windows server 2003 sp1, of dot net (1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, , updates), , sp2. after downloaded , installed of above, tried windows update menu option in ie.  (ie 8 windows server 2003) , sits there "done" in lower left hand corner.  never brings in window. so try www.microsoft.com -> download , trails -> update.  received error message "files required use microsoft update no longer registered or installed on computer".  click on register or reinstall files me now.  window changes , "check latest version of windows updating software .... ".   sits there (last time sat there on hour). i went on internet , found instructions: regsvr32 wuapi.dll regsvr32 wups.dll regsvr32 wuaueng.dll regsvr32 wucltui.dll regsvr32 atl.dll regsvr32 msxml3.dll did not work either.  have other suggestions?...

How do a find data in one file, search for it in another file and if not found, write a custom message to another file
