RDP Remote App Freezing

 windows xp sp3 (client – 32 bit) , windows server 2008 r2 (host - 64 bit)

have application implemented in vb.net 2005 desktop(windows) application. hosted application on windows server 2008 r2 (64 bit) computer , enabled rdp application sharing.

clients accessing application concurrently 6 different computers. while clients using application, application hung/freezing randomly 5 – 10 minutes. times more that. happening verify (minimum 5 times day) random scenarios. clients using taskmanager close application. annoyed use application freezing problem.

after clients reconnect rdp remote app, working out problems.

tried resolve problem following different scenarios, no luck. various scenarios tried listed below.

1. turning off hardware acceleration system wide in windows xp (client computer) (http://www.deskshare.com/resources/articles/dmc_turnoffhardwareacceleration.aspx)

2. set finheritcolordepth value 0 in registry @ hklmsystemcurrentcontrolsetcontrolterminal serverwinstationsrdp-

3. local resources tab of rdp window unchecked devices , drives while connecting server

on july 1st making windows server 2008 r2 remote desktop services forum read only. after receiving lot of feedback community, decided forum duplication , therefore redundant of remote desktop services (terminal services) forum. so, until july 1st, start asking customers redirect questions remote desktop services (terminal services) forum. on june 11th, css engineers move new threads remote desktop services (terminal services) forum.

Can no longer user MS Update - Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered

hi, i'm new server 2003.  installed it.  removed enhanced ie security.  proceed download , install windows server 2003 sp1, of dot net (1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, , updates), , sp2. after downloaded , installed of above, tried windows update menu option in ie.  (ie 8 windows server 2003) , sits there "done" in lower left hand corner.  never brings in window. so try www.microsoft.com -> download , trails -> update.  received error message "files required use microsoft update no longer registered or installed on computer".  click on register or reinstall files me now.  window changes , "check latest version of windows updating software .... ".   sits there (last time sat there on hour). i went on internet , found instructions: regsvr32 wuapi.dll regsvr32 wups.dll regsvr32 wuaueng.dll regsvr32 wucltui.dll regsvr32 atl.dll regsvr32 msxml3.dll did not work either.  have other suggestions?...

How do a find data in one file, search for it in another file and if not found, write a custom message to another file
