Disconnected mapped drive on Windows 2003 Server
hi there
i running windows server 2003 r2 enterprise edition sp2, 32bit. terminal server. there mapped drive show "disconnected network drive". if double click on it, go the drive wouldn't show total size , free space , continue show disconnected network drive. way fix restart server.
i have tried removing drive. drive still shows in computer. if right click , disconnect, pops message saying "the network connection not found." if add drive via gui in computer, that drive letter not available. tried mapping drive via command prompt didnt' either.
i tried using net use * /del command remove , doesn't . after restarting server, mapped drive using persistenace yes switch issue has come after few days.
there application uses drive , drive letter , if "my computer" says disconnected, software won't work. cannot change path unc path \\servername\sharename in software.
i googled , found somewhere suggested remove registry key. after removing registry, had restart server , after few days, issue came back.
i running symantec antivirus version 10.1.0.394. googled , 1 suggested might symantec causing issue , gave symantec link link doesn't work either. i not in position can upgrade antivirus newer version. believe issue came when installed symantec remote agent on terminal server. symantec backup exec version 2010 r3 is up-to-date as we speak.
i pulling hair , appreciate help.
