Host Guest cannot communicate with each other

i trying out on test laptop. i have 1 host , 1 guest both running windows server 2008r2. 1 host machine gave static ip 192.168.1.10. host machine domain controller.

i created internal virtual network facilitate host:guest communication. attached inetrnal virtual network guest machine , provided ip 192.168.1.20.

after creation of internal virtual network, can see 2 network adaptors on host machine, 1 physcial , 1 virtual. when fire ipconfig on host 2 ip address:

192.168.1.10 , 192.168.1.20

and when fire ipconfig on guest 192.168.1.20

but when ping host guest, destination unreachable. have disable firewall on both machines.

am doing wrong??

someone told me create loopback adapter , give ip of same range facilitate communication between guest , host. created loopback adaptor on host still same issue.

help needed...

hi,

after create internal virtual network on hyper-v machine, able find virtual network adapter in network connections.

now, can perform following steps let hyper-v host machine , guest virtual machines running on communicate each other.

1. assign ip address virtual network adapter in network connections. example, 192.168.3.1.

2. attach virtual network adapter of guest virtual machine internal virtual network.

3. assign ip address network adapter within above guest virtual machine. example, 192.168.3.2.

best regards,

vincent hu
