Extreme slow in opening Word document with Smart Tag

took 30 seconds to open .doc smart tag unless following action carried out:
a) remove network connection or
b) remove smart tags in document
unluckily, these not options.

have search internet solution in vain:
tried configure word options including unchecking label text smart tags , show smart tag action buttons but loading time still slow.

know way remove smart tag component in word loading?
or have ideas why word connect network owing smart tag?

i appreciated ideas , sharing.

from description, understand slow in opening word document. if there misunderstanding, please feel free let me know.

 

let’s start word in safe mode test issue.

 

start office program in safe mode

1.       click start, point programs, , point microsoft office.

2.        press , hold ctrl key, , click office program want start.

 

if problem not occur in safe mode, issue might related third-party add-ins in office program, can try disable them. normally, following disable conflict add-ins in office program:

 

disable add-ins

click microsoft office button  , click word options, , click add-ins.

 

view add-ins , application extensions categorized follows:

 

•    active application add-ins lists extensions registered , running in office program.

 

•    inactive application add-ins lists add-ins present on computer not loaded. example, smart tags or xml schemas active when document references them open. example com add-ins listed in com add-ins dialog box. if check box com add-in selected, add-in active. if check box com add-in cleared, add-in inactive. learn how open com add-in dialog box, see section called turn off or manage installed add-ins.

 

•    document related add-ins lists template files referenced open documents.

 

•    disabled application add-ins lists add-ins automatically disabled because causing office programs crash.
