DFS replication does not start due to lack of disk space.
hello everybody, i'm trying replicate data one volume f: \ of 700gb and is busy with space 690gb, data is replicated a volume on server, also f: \ of 1.5tb.
the replication does not happen, although there no errors in the event viewer, the report generated in dfsr, brought me the information below.
warnings (there 2 warnings report)
this member waiting initial replication replicated folder f.
affected replicated folders: f
description: member waiting initial replication replicated folder f , not participating in replication. delay can occur because member waiting dfs replication service retrieve replication settings active directory domain services. after member detects part of replication group, member begin initial replication.
last occurred: monday, september 28, 2015 @ 10:14:10 (gmt-3:00)
suggested action: replication begin after initial replication complete. if state not change, see microsoft web site.
volume f: low on disk space.
affected replicated folders: f
description: volume f: low on disk space. if volume becomes full, dfs replication service stop replication on volume.
last occurred: monday, september 28, 2015 @ 10:14:11 (gmt-3:00)
suggested action: increase available disk space on specified volume or move replicated folder different volume. see additional information disk space under informational section in table titled "current used , free disk space on volumes replicated folders stored.”
this on source server, where the files will go. means that this disk must have free disk space to start replication? it not be on the destination server disk?
any tips on how can solve this issue? because i can not increase the size of source server disk where the files are.
thank !

hi,
from description there no enough space on drive f (10gb?).
dfsr needs send file staging folder replication still important have enough disk space on sending dfsr member.
try delete or move large files out of drive f , see if work.
also if there large file waiting replication, need enlarge size of staging folder. should able find setting in dfs management.
please remember mark replies answers if , un-mark them if provide no help. if have feedback technet support, contact tnmff@microsoft.com.
