Terminal Server 2008 Cache Problem


hello everyone,

we used have windows 2003 r2 terminal servers , several days ago decided upgrade 2008 sp2 clean install. encountered problem not happened before.

our software development team developing applications , these applications run on terminal servers. these exe files in shared folder in application server. \\apserver\application1\test.exe. users have shortcut of these exe files on ts.

these exe files updated time time exact same name. , if user wants run app,old 1 runs if exe updated. have make sure users close old application before using new one. not problem with  windows 2003 r2 terminal servers.

- our applications doesn't make service calls.
- os version microsoft windows server 6.0 build 6002 sp2 ( windows server 2008 ent sp2)
- apllications developed in visual studio 2008 / c# , vb 6.0

i have read windows terminal server 2008 resource kit that, windows server 2003 ts shares dll users use application. in 2008 ts have dll file , doesn't distribute it. reason?

what reason of behaviour?

copy-on-write not introduced in ws08; technology has been around time.  you may want use app compat toolkit application see if can pinpoint issue.
