Internet Explorer 10 via WSUS not working (previously imported IE10 via WU Catalog)
using wsus 3.2.7600.226, internet explorer 10 being installed 3+ months via imported windows update catalog 'definitions' (or whatever they're called) 99.9% of our workstations, wsus metadata has been updated include ie10 (oct 8 believe, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894199 ) our wsus no longer detects ie10 needed update our clients (windows 7 pro x64). freshly installed windows 7 sp1 x64 system remain on ie8 after being patched wsus server, , ie10 never detected installed nor needed.
i have attempted decline 3 "internet explorer windows xxx" updates (win7 x86, win7 x64, , win2k8 r2) , ran cleanup wizard delete them our wsus, , re-scanned updates clients none picking them being installed or needed of our 155+ clients. i'm running out of ideas how work... suggestions appreciated.
thanks!
edit: forgot mention updates mentioned in step 2 of http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2820688/en-us have been installed or detected not applicable system (they marked install in wsus already).
issue, if imported package catalog, may not have *real* package released wsus in october. depend on whether package released wsus revision original package, or built entirely new package. should double-check have correct *revision* approved installation, or whether have october revision @ all.i think whole issue stems fact had imported ie10 wsus windows update catalog (alexander nichols above stated has exact same problem , scenario).
