Windows 2003 - NIC replacement
hello,
might silly question, must ask it:
have 2 windows 2003 domain controllers , need change nic in 1 of them since generating ungodly amount of errors. server holds fsmo roles , global catalog server domain. procedure placed this:
1. logon dc
2. uninstall existing nic , shutdown server
3. physically install new nic
4. power server, install drivers new nic , configure tcp/ip settings identical old one
5. restart server
6. check replication/dns or other errors , hope there aren't :)
question is: correct way it?
in advance,

using procedure stated above following happened:
-old nic still listed in device manager though disabled
-new nic installed , configured tcp/ip settings old one
-no warnings, no nothing, continued work after restart (restarted when tcp/ip settings applied new nic)
right logons going normally, replication appears working normally, dns server working should, test more appears everything's ok.
