Server won't reboot after a few weeks - comes up to Windows Boot Manager
we installed 2 dell poweredge t630 servers 4 months ago, , both running windows server 2012r2. both have sas drives. 1 server has chronic problem of not wanting reboot goes past week or 2 since last reboot. after time period reached, during reboot server comes "windows boot manager | windows failed start. recent hardware or software change might cause..." we've not installed new hardware or software. can boot windows disc command prompt repair , type "bootrec /rebuildbcd", , server boot right up. other new server doesn't have problems @ all. had again morning, , fortunately got enterprise idrac license setup after last round - 2.5 hours away site when reboot went awry morning. know might try? i've opened couple cases dell, , hardware looks good, , we're running recommended drivers. there nothing of interest in event viewer before or after reboot.
i did notice last 2 times before rebooted backups fail , can't install new roles or features, can install roles , features after reboot. found out after acronis backup failing , tried install windows backups - failed. tried install telnet client, failed. since rebooted today, tried install both of these, , installed without hitch.
