How to verify SID compression is disabled?

hello,

we're upgrade customers domain controllers ws2008r2 ws2012r2

customer has lots of file shares on qnap (nas) , windows server 2003 file servers.

i'm aware after deploying first ws2012r2 domain controller, kdc begins issue
kerberos tickets group sids compressed , nas systems , 2003 servers not understand them
causing access denied failures user.

have followed method 2 in here disable sid compression https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2774190

can somehow verify domain controller group sids in service tickets no longer compressed?

hi,

why don't enable , see if tgs same size? it's possible tiny pacs results of compression cannot noticed.

i'd create test user , 500 test groups, make user member of these groups, network traces with(out) compression , see.
