during testing, can try setting security filtering to "authenticated users" rule out security isn't issue. also, check wmi filtering make sure isn't filtering out. might best set "<none>" during testing.
have tried using group policy results to help narrow down issue?
on pc side, have run "gpupdate /force" command line or restarted pc since making the policy change?
when "map drive ou", mean are linking gpo to ou?
as actual settings in policy, under user configuration/preferences/windows settings/drive maps/drive map (drive: drive letter). under general/action: try changing create, creates new mapped drive users. update modifies settings of existing mapped drive users. in case, it sounds may want set "run in logged-on user's security context (user policy option)" yes. make sure if that, user has rights location mapping. if not, believe logs entry in event viewer not having rights , drive mapping doesn't appear.
also, reference: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc770902.aspx more detailed information.
thanks.
