Windows 10 Pro And SBS 2011 Issues (DHCP and Unable To Query Info)
i upgrading network windows 7 pro, windows 10 pro, sbs 2011 (standard). have couple of odd issues going on, seems dhcp not working, or talking dhcp service, workstation, getting ip addy not in dynamic range, in reserved pool, though, settings on nic set dynamic, if static setup.
it seems if workstation not registering in dns, listed, things not right, example cannot ping name or ip address, can use rdp sbs console. in sbs console, shows online - unable query info. kind of old school, added win 10 boxes, manually adding domain, thinking, maybe windows 10 not that, went "new" way, , entered http:\\connect, , reported "this os, not supported", made me scratch head more.
i ran net view, , comes "path not found".
this on workstations did clean install of windows 10 pro, of windows 7 pro boxes, fine. did come across this, not sure if applies:
user needs add following 2 lines xml file on server located @ –
c:\program files\windows small business server\bin\webapp\clientdeployment\packagefiles\supportedos.xml
