Files saved to File Share lose permissions and groups attached

we have set windows server 2012 file share server , used file migration wizard our old windows server 2008 file share. several departments (running windows 8.1) have encountered issue when save file or create new file, file saved server "disappears". using local administrator on server, can find each of these files; however, when go properties of each file, there no users/groups attached it.

when go advanced security settings, warning have 'read-only' permission , owner has changed me able edit security settings. go ahead , change owner local admin, close properties , open them again. there add admin group in security settings (i don't go advanced, first security window) , of groups , permissions appear after hit apply. enable user see file again, if change made , file saved again, file disappearing act again. not happen of our users, couple , problem occurs semi-randomly.

things have done try fix permissions:

1. process described above

2. replace child permission entries inheritable permission entries object

3.  removed share , file server role , restarted server - readded share inside of preferred f:\shares directory. set share folder inherit nothing above , gave share ad group correct rights

configure: audit user account management success , failure

Can no longer user MS Update - Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered

hi, i'm new server 2003.  installed it.  removed enhanced ie security.  proceed download , install windows server 2003 sp1, of dot net (1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, , updates), , sp2. after downloaded , installed of above, tried windows update menu option in ie.  (ie 8 windows server 2003) , sits there "done" in lower left hand corner.  never brings in window. so try www.microsoft.com -> download , trails -> update.  received error message "files required use microsoft update no longer registered or installed on computer".  click on register or reinstall files me now.  window changes , "check latest version of windows updating software .... ".   sits there (last time sat there on hour). i went on internet , found instructions: regsvr32 wuapi.dll regsvr32 wups.dll regsvr32 wuaueng.dll regsvr32 wucltui.dll regsvr32 atl.dll regsvr32 msxml3.dll did not work either.  have other suggestions?...

How do a find data in one file, search for it in another file and if not found, write a custom message to another file
