2008 (original) SP2 - can't reduce size of winsxs folder

i have 2008 (original) server sp2 winsxs folder that's taking 14.9gb of 50gb on c: partition.  i cannot figure out how reduce amount of space has taken.

i have installed desktop experience role, when run disk cleanup, windows update cleanup not appear 1 of options check.

i have run compcln.exe did not reduce size of winsxs folder @ all.  the system doesn't recognize vsp1cln.exe valid command.

what else can reduce amount of space winsxs folder taking?

b.) add path systems environment variables. right click on computer, go properties, advanced, environment variables. in environment variables edit 'path' parameter , add path dism.exe.
