Windows Server 2003 R2 Standart Edition SP 2 Problem

i have 3 windows server in 1 domain, named server,server1,and server2

1st problem replication

when run dcdiag on server1 test passed

but if run dcdiag on server or server2 got tihs error:

          replication generated error (1256) remote system not available

          warning server1 pdc owner not responding ldap bind

          warning server1 rid owner not responding ds rpc bind

         etc

        when run repadmin/replsum

       server1 fail 100% error (1722) rpc server in unavailable

2nd problem cannot open gpo server neither server2, open in server1 

    error : failed open gpo ypu may not have appropriate rights

    detail : server not operational 

 

how solve problem, try find in forum can't find it

hello,

as see have rpc issues.

please proceed solve problem:

  • choose dc / dns server
  • make each dc points primary dns server
  • make each dc / dns server points private ip address secondary dns server , 127.0.0.1 third 1
  • make sure each dc has 1 ip address , 1 nic card enabled

once done, run ipconfig /registerdns and restart netlogon on each dc have. should update dcs dns records on chosen dc / dns server. once chosen server has correct copies of dns zones, replicate them other dc / dns servers.

also, make sure needed ports ad replication not blocked: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727063.aspx

use portqry v2 checking.

Can no longer user MS Update - Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered

hi, i'm new server 2003.  installed it.  removed enhanced ie security.  proceed download , install windows server 2003 sp1, of dot net (1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, , updates), , sp2. after downloaded , installed of above, tried windows update menu option in ie.  (ie 8 windows server 2003) , sits there "done" in lower left hand corner.  never brings in window. so try www.microsoft.com -> download , trails -> update.  received error message "files required use microsoft update no longer registered or installed on computer".  click on register or reinstall files me now.  window changes , "check latest version of windows updating software .... ".   sits there (last time sat there on hour). i went on internet , found instructions: regsvr32 wuapi.dll regsvr32 wups.dll regsvr32 wuaueng.dll regsvr32 wucltui.dll regsvr32 atl.dll regsvr32 msxml3.dll did not work either.  have other suggestions?...

How do a find data in one file, search for it in another file and if not found, write a custom message to another file
