Import list of updates needed from offline WSUS into online WSUS

greetings!

i have both offline , online wsus server (3.0 sp2)

they both synced correctly (i.e. products , classifications / update files , languages).

both servers running on windows 2008 server enterprise edition x86 (not r2).

i synced online wsus microsoft , have initial meta data , downloads folder (wsus\wsuscontent)

i copied download folder online wsus offline wsus , imported metadata.

for both online/offline update files , languages setting set follows:

store update files locally on server

checked download update files server when update approved

checked download express installation files

only english checked on language files.

the clients need updates mix of 2003 server, xp pro, win7 pro 64bit, server 2008 32/64 bit (not r2).

they reporting offline wsus , have indicated needed updates.

here question:

there few hundred updates needed. there way tell online wsus updates need? i'm trying not have hand pick each 1 (that pain).

no.

and "hand-picking" approval, put it, needs done @ disconnected server, have if server connected internet.

of "few hundred" needed updates, need determine of updates deployed, , systems. imagine of "needed" updates superseded , should not approved @ all. of updates, may not want deploy @ all, though they're reported "needed" -- example, plan install silverlight onto domain controllers?

Can no longer user MS Update - Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered

hi, i'm new server 2003.  installed it.  removed enhanced ie security.  proceed download , install windows server 2003 sp1, of dot net (1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, , updates), , sp2. after downloaded , installed of above, tried windows update menu option in ie.  (ie 8 windows server 2003) , sits there "done" in lower left hand corner.  never brings in window. so try www.microsoft.com -> download , trails -> update.  received error message "files required use microsoft update no longer registered or installed on computer".  click on register or reinstall files me now.  window changes , "check latest version of windows updating software .... ".   sits there (last time sat there on hour). i went on internet , found instructions: regsvr32 wuapi.dll regsvr32 wups.dll regsvr32 wuaueng.dll regsvr32 wucltui.dll regsvr32 atl.dll regsvr32 msxml3.dll did not work either.  have other suggestions?...

How do a find data in one file, search for it in another file and if not found, write a custom message to another file
