Secure way to setup test environment on a production networ
hi all,
i'm searching ways can securely , safe setup test environment on production net work.
given or current setup: production: large domain dcs run ad
tons of users, workstations, , servers(exch, wsus, ect)
test: vmware esxi 4.1 on production network sitting off on side in separate
vlan , subnet.
-different domain production
-2 dc same domain gpo production
~20 users-10 vms (workstation & servers)
questions
1.can ad use keep transfer of information(files, code...and ect) secure? if how?
2. how can ad use or setup provide 1 way trust? if how?
3. test environment need set child domain of production? if how?
4. pros , cons doing 1 way or another?

you can use ipsec encryption / integrity conservation data transfer.

no. test domain, recommend creation in new forest. example, made schema modification test in test environment. use of new forest, not replicated production dcs.
