Post Upgrade to Hyper-V Server 2012 R2 unable to manage server


hyper-v environment, both servers members of domain.

hyperv1

hyperv2
replica host hyperv1

performed upgrade downloaded media, , utilizing windows 8.1 rtm management, error message "an error occurred while attempting connect server hyperv2. check virtual machine management service running , authorized connect server.

my user account member of local administrators group, hyper-v administrators group, remote management enabled via group policy , on host.

hvremote.wsf ver 1.08 reports working correctly.

on side note, , may related, prior upgrade able remote desktop vmhost without issue, after reboot, rdp connections go black screen mouse pointer never makes desktop, window closes, session remains logged in. can console , log in directly , screen rdp not connect.

any ides appreciated.

first

for trouble shooting , can refer following step :

     1. domain environment

          a. hyper-v1,hyper-v2,win8  quit domain , rejoin it.

          b. ping computername win8 , check  if name can resolved dns query.

          c. check domain account  logged  win8 if added in administrators group or hyper-v administrators of hyper-v1 , hyper-v2.

          d. turn off windows fire wall of  hyper-v1, hyper-v2 , win8

          e. in win8 open component services ,right click "my computer" select  "properties" select tab "com security" in access permissions area select "edi limits..."  set  "allow" permission anonymous logon .

          f. try use hyper-v manager of win8 connect hyper-v servers

 

   2. non-domain environment

          of the machines join same workgroup

          turn off windows fire wall of  hyper-v1, hyper-v2 , win8

          can ping each other

          check domain account  logged  win8 if added in administrators group or hyper-v administrators of hyper-v1 , hyper-v2.

           in win8 open component services ,right click "my computer" select  "properties" select tab "com security" in access permissions area select "edi limits..."  set  "allow" permission anonymous logon .

           retry connect hyper-v servers.
