Cluster Validation Reports with various Warnings - Any Suggestions

i running 2 nodes, when run cluster validation wizard, found following warnings, me out these warnings appreciated.

list potential cluster disks

    list disks visible nodes validated cluster compatibility. online clustered disks excluded.
    no disks found on perform cluster validation tests. correct this, review following possible causes:
    * disks clustered , online in cluster. when testing working cluster, ensure disks want test offline in cluster.
    * disks unsuitable clustering. boot volumes, system volumes, disks used paging or dump files, , disks not use ntfs examples of disks unsuitable clustering.
    * disks not visible nodes (even though in shared storage). review "list disks" test see disks visible nodes. ensure disks want test unmasked, is, masking or zoning not prevent access disks. if disks seem unmasked or zoned correctly not tested, try restarting servers before running validation tests again.
    * cluster not use shared storage. cluster must use hardware solution based either on shared storage or on replication between nodes. if solution based on replication between nodes, not need rerun storage tests. instead, work provider of replication solution ensure replicated copies of cluster configuration database can maintained across nodes.

    no disks found on perform cluster validation tests.

here happening. 

1 - cluster validation tool runs multiple groups of tests make sure configuration healthy , acceptable clustering. if choose run cluster validation tool , choose pick tests run manually see states tests involves "cluster storage" requires cluster storage in question offline. means have make csv or other storage in cluster want test offline before can run these tests against them. because online storage might have io , running these tests cause corruption on cluster storage unless it's offline. seeing intended behaviour of tool. consider there no disks purposes of "cluster validation" , tell there ar eno disks test.

2- have been following 1069 threads , want mention once again, everytime shutdown node "failover" happens , there bunch of events listed on event viewer. don't mean there wrong cluster letting know 1 of nodes lost connectivity cluster , got evicted. in case, understanding shutting down 1 of nodes , event registered , shutdown node event doesn't registered. please keep in mind every single object in cluster owned 1 or other nodes. having single node's ownership doesn't mean it's not shared resource. when in failover cluster manager storage section see cluster storage in question here owned 1 of nodes. let's it's owned node 1. when shutdown node 2 there won't handing on of cluster resource (referring cluster disk 1 here) there won't events registered. however, when shut down node 1, cluster owner ship handed ower next node available (in case node 2) fails on node 1. doesn't necesarily mean there downtime on cluster or virtual machines failing. it's way windows server failover clustering functions in hyper-v resources.

i hope gives better picture of going on in backend when running hyper-v failover clustering.

Can no longer user MS Update - Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered

hi, i'm new server 2003.  installed it.  removed enhanced ie security.  proceed download , install windows server 2003 sp1, of dot net (1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, , updates), , sp2. after downloaded , installed of above, tried windows update menu option in ie.  (ie 8 windows server 2003) , sits there "done" in lower left hand corner.  never brings in window. so try www.microsoft.com -> download , trails -> update.  received error message "files required use microsoft update no longer registered or installed on computer".  click on register or reinstall files me now.  window changes , "check latest version of windows updating software .... ".   sits there (last time sat there on hour). i went on internet , found instructions: regsvr32 wuapi.dll regsvr32 wups.dll regsvr32 wuaueng.dll regsvr32 wucltui.dll regsvr32 atl.dll regsvr32 msxml3.dll did not work either.  have other suggestions?...

How do a find data in one file, search for it in another file and if not found, write a custom message to another file
